 Medical Infusion Pump Manufacturing

What is an infusion pump?

The infusion pump is an intelligent infusion device that can accurately control the number of infusion drops or the infusion flow rate to ensure that the drug can enter the patient's body at a uniform speed, accurate amount and safely.

There are various product models of liquid pumps with different performances. According to their working characteristics, they can be divided into three categories: peristaltic control infusion pumps, constant volume control infusion pumps and syringe microinjection infusion pumps.

The infusion pump is mainly composed of a microcomputer system, a pump device, a monitoring device, an alarm device, and an input and display device. It needs to be used in conjunction with the matching infusion set, and the positive pressure generated by the infusion pump is used to control the flow of liquid (medicine solution, nutrient solution, etc.) injected into the patient's body.

What are the precautions for processing infusion pump parts?

High precision requirements: Infusion pumps have very high precision requirements. The size, surface finish, assembly accuracy and other aspects of parts need to meet strict requirements. To ensure safe and stable completion of precise medical surgeries, advanced processing technology and equipment, as well as experienced engineers and technicians are required.

Material selection: Infusion pump parts require excellent chemical properties and mechanical strength so that they are not affected by repeated sterilization over a long period of time. In addition, materials that are biocompatible and have sufficient strength need to be used for parts that come into contact with human tissue. .

Complexity and geometry: A large part of the parts of the infusion pump have complex shapes, such as curved surfaces, special shapes, and arcs. Such parts are usually processed with five-axis equipment and require a high level of processing.
