What is CNC machining?


CNC is the English abbreviation of Computerized Numerical Control, also known as CNC machine tools and CNC lathes. Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta area of Guangdong are called computer gongs.

 

CNC is an automated machine tool equipped with a program control system. The CNC control system can logically process programs with control codes or other symbolic instructions and decode them, so that the machine tool can perform corresponding actions and process parts.


CNC is often used in manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, and grinding, and can also be used in fields such as engraving, cutting, and lettering.

Which parts are suitable for CNC processing?


Special-shaped parts: That is, parts with irregular shapes. Such parts usually have poor rigidity and require mixed processing of points, surfaces, lines, etc. The deformation and accuracy of special-shaped parts are very difficult to guarantee, so it is difficult for ordinary machine tools to complete the processing. CNC machining is required.

 

Discs, sleeves, and plate parts: shaft parts with distributed hole systems on the surface, keyways, radial holes, and curved surfaces. Such parts cannot be processed by general machine tools. 


Curved surface parts require a CNC vertical machining center, and parts with apertures require a CNC horizontal machining center.
